Slyce (“Slyce,” “we,” “us”) is a golf-venue experience app operated by Ember Development Studios, LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Slyce app or website, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account & profile: name, email address, phone number, and authentication identifiers (including Apple or Google sign-in).
- Location: with your permission, approximate or precise device location to show nearby courses, distances, and map features.
- Activity: courses you follow, events you save, scans of Slyce QR codes, and in-app interactions.
- Orders & payments: items ordered at a venue and transaction records. Card details are processed by Stripe — Slyce does not store full card numbers.
- Communications & consent: your push, email, and SMS preferences and opt-in status.
- Device & usage: app version, device type, and diagnostic/analytics data used to keep Slyce reliable.
How we use your information
- Provide and personalize the app — discovery, follows, events, rewards, and ordering at participating venues.
- Process food & beverage orders and route them to the correct venue.
- Send the notifications you opt into (course updates, events, deals, order status).
- Improve performance, prevent fraud and abuse, and keep the service secure.
- Comply with legal obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With the golf venues you interact with, so they can fulfill your orders and manage their relationship with you.
- With service providers that operate Slyce on our behalf — including Supabase (database/auth), Stripe (payments), Twilio (SMS), Resend (email), Mapbox (maps), and Sentry (error monitoring) — under agreements that limit their use of your data.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Slyce, our users, or others.
SMS & messaging consent
If you opt in to text messages, you consent to receive account, order, and marketing messages at the number you provide. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. Opting out of SMS will not affect your ability to use the core app. Consent to marketing messages is not a condition of any purchase.
Location
Location is used only to power features like nearby courses and distance. You can change or revoke location access at any time in your device settings.
Age & alcohol
Slyce is intended for users 18 and older. Alcohol ordering, where offered, is available only to users of legal drinking age, and the venue verifies age and identity at pickup. Slyce is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Data retention & security
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, then delete or anonymize it. We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls, though no system is perfectly secure.
Your choices & rights
- Access, update, or delete your account information from within the app or by contacting us.
- Manage push, email, and SMS preferences at any time.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access, deletion, or opt-out of certain processing). Contact us to exercise them.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by in-app notice.
